Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was supposed to be better than MWII. But it has fallen behind. While some have embraced it with open arms due to an improved gameplay experience, others still believe it’s a DLC of Modern Warfare II. Thanks to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the declining sales in the United Kingdom saw a growth in November 2023. It was the month when Activision’s brand new game launched in the second week. The first-person shooter stayed on the number one position for the entirety of the month. Given that Modern Warfare II was released in late October last year, Call of Duty franchise had a better November this year in general.
Still, Modern Warfare 3 couldn’t generate extreme interest among the players to buy it. Yes, it was the top-selling game in the UK, yet it failed to top Modern Warfare II in sales under the first three weeks. MW3 sales were 38 percent lower than MWII in the period of the first three weeks after launch.
Now, speaking of other top sellers in the list for November, there are many popular titles to notice. Hogwarts Legacy, from Warner Bros., witnessed a big jump recently thanks to Black Friday offers and its release on Nintendo Switch.
Moving further, there’s EA Sports FC that sold fewer copies last month compared to FIFA23 in 2022. It also gained some advantage due to discounts offered during the phase of Black Friday sales. For those curious to know about all the best-sellers, here’s the list of Top 10 selling video games for the period of November 2023:
