Dmitri Williams, gaming business expert and professor at the USC Annenberg School for Communications, believes that GTA 6 has got the potential to be the biggest video game of all time. According to his observation of the gaming industry in recent years, Rockstar’s open-world epic may benefit from the overall growth of the industry when it eventually hits the shelves in 2025.

“The brand is as strong or stronger than it was before, but additionally the game industry is larger. If it maintains the same slice of the pie, it’s going to be big, because it will come from a bigger pie,” said Williams.

Williams believes that the video games business has become gigantic these days.
