Sony has had its fans licking their lips in anticipation of the new gaming material coming this year. Apart from its next-gen console PlayStation 5, Sony had also announced the release of The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima this year.

Sadly, The Last of Us 2 became something of a fiasco given the leaked gameplay videos and storyline. And now, the attention has turned towards Ghost of Tsushima, which will release on July 17.

More gameplay footage of PlayStation exclusive on Thursday

Ghost of Tsushima is set in 1274, and follows the story of the last samurai in Japan. The game’s reveals and trailers were enough to get fans on the edge of their seats. Apart from the seamless game mechanics, the game promises a truly aesthetic visual experience. Initially, Sony planned on releasing the game on June 26, but had to delay their plans because of the COVID-19 situation.

While we wait for the game to release, Sony has given us a reason to rejoice as we will soon get a look at new gameplay footage. State of Play, Sony PlayStation’s online video program, features the latest announcements, reveals, updates, trailers, and more. This week’s episode is dedicated to Ghost of Tsushima, which will air on YouTube and Twitch on Thursday, May 14, at 1 P.M. PT and 4 P.M. ET.

The episode, which will last around 18 minutes, will include footage of combat and exploration from the game. Usually, an episode features news, updates, and announcements on different titles. However, State of Play will dedicate the entire episode to Ghost of Tsushima on Thursday.

So if you were hoping for some updates on PlayStation 5, you can forget about it.
