Diamond in the rough titles in the newly released Xbox Backwards Compatible games list

Timesplitters 2

When it comes to FPS franchises, gaming fans rarely mention Timesplitters. However, with its recent addition to the Xbox Backwards Compatibility games list, they now have a reason to talk about the series. It contains two of the three titles, which were available on the original Xbox console. However, Timesplitters 2 holds a special place in the hearts of many because of its amazing split-screen multiplayer FPS experience. Players compete in multiple levels set in different time periods in one of the best titles of 2002.

Skate 2

Fans had a lot of excitement when they heard about the addition of EA’s classic title Skate 2. However, its addition came with some disheartening news as it won’t feature online multiplayer with its servers shutting down on December 10. Even then, it still features a stellar single-player experience which contains a lot of fun and hilarious gameplay. Plus, with the next Skate title currently in development, fans might want to brush up on some skills in this game.

Binary Domain

Xbox 360 had some amazing third-person shooter games in its library including 2012 title, Binary Domain. Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, players experience a world made inhabitable by Global Warming. The squad shooter title will have players battling robots, making them feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Terminator movies. With crisp action, and a complex relationship system with the squad members, this is a game players shouldn’t miss out on.

Iconic Rockstar Games return with Backwards Compatibility

Manhunt

Many know Rockstar Games franchises like Bully and Grand Theft Auto for its depictions of violence. However, the developer’s most graphic title has to be the 2003 game, Manhunt. The third person title puts players into the shoes of James Earl Cash, a death row inmate who has to kill criminals for The Director, voiced by Succession star Brian Cox. Even though the game sparked a lot of controversy, it has received a cult status over the years as it has pushed the boundary of violence in video games.

Read Dead Revolver

Rockstar Games fans also know a thing or two about the iconic Red Dead Redemption and its sequel. However, not many of them know that the franchise began with 2004 title, Red Dead Revolver. Set in the little town of Brimstone during the late 19th century, fans play as Red, a ruthless bounty hunter, who’s out for revenge. The title contains the iconic Dead Eye mechanic which slows down time for players to target enemies while shooting, and while it didn’t receive reviews as good as the Red Dead Redemption titles, it’s still a solid game to enjoy on Xbox consoles.
