These multiple visits from the 4x Champs led to ‘Chef’ building a very good rapport with former POTUS Barack Obama. As Curry revealed in a recent interview with ‘Complex’, he once presented Obama with memorabilia from a company valued at $3.24 Billion. This is not the first time that a member of the Curry family has revealed details about their White House visit. His wife Ayesha Curry once recalled a hilarious incident involving a knife and the 44th President. It’s something the Secret Service wasn’t happy about.

Stephen Curry reminisces about a gift he gave to Barack Obama

The superstars of the game have a lot of interesting stories hidden within them. But Curry decided to share one such story with his fans. Stephen Curry recently revealed a wholesome anecdote involving Obama, in an interview with ‘Complex’.

In the interview, the ‘Complex’ team took the 4x NBA Champion to a sneaker store and fired some friendly questions at him. During the interview, the superstar spoke a lot about his partnership with the brand Under Armour and the sneakers’ role in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the interviewer asked Steph whether he had given any gift to the former president. He replied, “I’ve definitely sent him a pair (sneakers).”

He further said, “We got to visit a couple times but yeah I gave him gave him a pair if he can have a little memorabilia.” Notably, Steph has been associated with Under Armour as a brand ambassador since 2013. Recently, the sneaker company was valued at 3.24 billion.

On the other hand, Steph’s wife Ayesha Curry had a hilarious encounter with the former president once.

Four years ago, when Ayesha Curry was featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, she revealed a hilarious incident during a dinner with the former president. She unknowingly alerted the Secret Service!

The incident took place in Ayesha’s Michelin Star restaurant, International Smoke. Barack Obama was there with John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. Ayesha thought she had to host the dinner. But she was shocked to find out that she was actually invited to the dinner and had to give a welcome speech. So, to lighten the mood, she started sabering bottles of champagne.

She added, “had the knife standing 5 feet behind President Barack Obama and didn’t realize like the Secret Service is inching towards me.” Subsequently, it alerted the officials, and they approached Ayesha only to realize that it was a mistake.

“It happened. Everybody was excited and then everybody let out like a sign of relief,” she said.
