The highly anticipated 14.60 update for Fortnite is finally here, and it brings a lot of exciting changes to the game. The biggest highlights of the update include the ‘Venom’ Cup, a new LTM, and an expansion of the Creative Hub, among other things.
The update unexpectedly deployed early on the Xbox One, Series X and Series S. As a result, cross-platform partying remains unavailable until 4 AM ET. The update amounts to over 3GB on Microsoft’s consoles.

Fortnite introduces Venom Cup as the fourth tournament in Marvel Knockout Super Series
The Marvel Knockout Super Series comprised four competitive cups, and the top performers in each region got early access to the exclusive superhero skins. The series kicked off on October 14 with the Daredevil outfit and eventually, fans competed for Ghost Rider and the Black Widow.
The Venom cup begins on November 18 and will follow Duos format. The rewards include the Venom Outfit, We Are Venom Emote, Symbiote Slasher Pickaxe, and Tendril Tote Back Bling ahead of release.
Undoubtedly, the Venom Cup will be a perfect ending to the already hit Marvel Super Series.

Creative Hub Expansion
With Chapter 2, Epic Games introduced Creative Hub in Fortnite to enhance community engagement. The Hub features saved creations by the players and community games.
The latest update brings a new limited-time mode that archives some of the most popular community-made games. Effective as of right now, players can always expect new content in the Creative Hub every few days.
The ‘Biggest Fortnite event’ is closer than ever
As per Fortnite’s creative director Donald Mustard, the upcoming Galactus event is going to be the “biggest Fortnite event ever”. Galactus has been making his way to the island since August and certainly, the latest update lays the foundation for his arrival.
As per some theories, the upcoming event will be called “The Devourer of Worlds”, and the players must defend the island to save reality.
Despite all the recent additions, fans will have to wait a little longer for the Last Laugh bundle which will be available in the Item Shop from December. However, anyone who pre-ordered the bundle via download code can avail it now.

Apart from these noticeable updates, Daily Express compiled several other changes in the game following the update:
- Voice chat, once disabled, cannot be disabled on the next-gen Xbox Series X and S.
- Team Size setting does not properly function when Join In Progress is set to Join Next Round.
- Cars do not deal damage to objects or players at impact constantly.
- On PC, Black Widow’s back bling becomes invisible with Effect settings on Low.
- Players cannot create system-level parties between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
- Editing a banner with a controller will pose certain difficulties because the banner menu might be unresponsive to controller inputs.
- Sound effect audio delay.
