The FNCS Solos have brought about a mixture of feelings for every Fortnite fan and player. It was perhaps one of the worst tournaments ever, according to the majority on social media. From players getting banned because of bugs to players getting griefed by their own teammates – this tourney had it all.

It also had the first female player to ever qualify for an FNCS Solo grand finale. So it had both, moments of absolute disgust and silver linings. On the matter of players betraying their own teammates, from other modes, in a solo game- it is quite common. However, sometimes it happens when you least expect it.

Fresh and Squeakz are perhaps two of the most compatible teammates in duos. We have enjoyed their synergy and they truly make great plays. Although, this was one play that caught Squeakz off guard. Squeakz did apologize after, for having eliminated Fresh.

Fortnite teammate kills the other in FNCS

During the second last game of FNCS Solos, Squeakz and Fresh both landed at Pleasant Park. Now, as teammates, it is easy to be privy to that information. As rules dictate, it is every man for himself, so Fresh did not want to simp his opportunity. He spotted Squeakz’s from his build, tagged him for 35, launchpad over and went into his build, and killed him.

While this might be seen as uncalled for, but that’s how things go in a solo tourney. Today, Squeakz posted a long write up expressing what it felt like.

“I know what I did at pleasant was wrong, Fresh made my chances of qualifying much lower and I was heated at the moment and wanted to kill fresh the next game so I had a higher chance of qualifying. (Fresh and I landed there all FNCS and didn’t engage once before he killed me).”

TFG might have misread the situation totally

The Fortnite Guy made a video about this, which was mostly about how Fresh killed Squeakz, and then in the next game, Squeakz returned the favor. TFG made it a point to mention that Fresh was just one point away from qualifying for Finals. With this latest statement from Squeakz, it looks like TFG was too quick to his judgment.

“What happened on the day of FNCS qualifiers is over, both sides are happy now and I feel that the Fortnite guy’s video was completely biased towards me and is making me receive hate from people with poor understanding of the story.”
