Fortnite 15.40 update brings back new weapons, possibly Flintknock

Data miners have known of this upcoming addition for a while now. Subsequently, they have made numerous assumptions about what this weapon could be. A part of the community believes that it is going to be the heavy sniper rifle.

However, let us take a look at the announcement tweets for a second here. The tweets use the phrases “knock-knock”, and “Blast back”. Now, according to popular YouTuber Tabor Hill, who made a video recently, contemplating the implications of the tweets, this points at the Flintknock pistol.

The Flintknock had a heavy damage count and almost worked like a shotgun. It is no wonder that the community took an instant liking to it. Of course, its return would mean big news for the community. However, this is not an official announcement, but speculation that we personally agree with.

Besides the addition of a fan-favorite weapon, Fortnite will also get two new LTMs as well. But we do not know what the ‘Air Royale’ and ‘Floor is Lava’ will entail. Although, it seems that the former will perhaps be a “planes only” game mode.

Furthermore, the update seems to have tweaked the building graphics in the PC Performance Mode, something that Epic needed to do ASAP.

Well, looks like this update has a lot of exciting content in store, along with the much-needed tweaks and fixes.
