Epic Games have released the new update 12.30.1 during the server downtime today. The update is for Fortnite Battle Royale as well as Save the World and is for all platforms- PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Usually, only full updates are released during server downtime. Given the relatively little downtime, the changes will be minor. It’s possible it will also lay the groundwork for the end of the season.

Fortnite issues resolved
In recent times, Fortnite users were experiencing some minor issues. Epic Games will address those issues in the new update, and perhaps even introduce a new in-game item.

Some users were also facing issues with the Deadpool challenges. User reports suggested that some were missing the Week 7 Deadpool challenges.
“A fix is rolling out for the Deadpool Week 7 challenge. It will take some time to for the fix to reach everyone, thank you for your patience! We’ll provide another update once the challenge has been successfully granted to all Battle Pass owners.”
A common issue was a crash whenever players made cosmetic changes in the Locker.
“We’re investigating and working to resolve a crash that can occur when changing styles for cosmetics in the Locker. We’ll provide an update when we have more information.”
And lastly, PS4 users have been experiencing some issues with terrain textures after the lats update 12.30. Issues like low-quality PS4 map textures and also some terrain textures on PS4 are visually degraded since 12.30.
All the above issues have been resolved by the developers in the 12.30.1 update. the downtime is also over and the game is back on.

From the looks of it, most of the minor issues have been resolved. You can now get back on the servers and start playing!
