Developers at Epic Games just released the patch notes for the latest Fortnitemares 2020 update. As expected, the new update brings new ghostly gameplay and Halloween challenges in Fortnite. However, one thing that none of the leaks had suggested was the vaulting of the charge shotgun.

Midas returns to Fortnite with Ghostly New Gameplay
Players will experience a petrifying twist while playing solos, duos and squads. The patch notes mention that “the Agency has been reclaimed by the ranks of a reawakened mastermind out for revenge.”
This might seem tricky to new players, however, veterans can easily grab the hint and deduce that Midas is back. Midas also has an army to “snatch a shadowy victory from the living.”
According to previous leaks, the returning boss will have a Gold Scar and his henchmen will have Pumpkin launchers.
New Challenges in the game are spookier than ever
To get into the Halloween element, the island has haunted huts and fearsome decorations. Players can complete some challenges to get exclusive Halloween rewards that include a spooky Back Bling, and a Pickaxe. Epic Games will reveal other exclusive rewards when the update officially rolls out.
Fortnite gets an exclusive “Trick or Treat” edition Loot Pool
Fortnite introduced the Charge Shotgun in Chapter 2, Season 3 of the game, and it was one of most skill-based weapons in the game. With the right amount of practice, players could master the shotgun and dominate games. Unfortunately for them, it won’t be a part of Fortnite’s weapon arsenal after the 14.40 update. Accordingly, players will have to change their weapon preferences after this update.

Other “ghoulish weapons” will also return to add to the spookiness in the game. The patch notes mention “soaring through the skies like a witch,” which hints towards brooms in the game. It seems like the leaks regarding brooms in the game were true all along.
The Fortnite team concluded the patch notes by saying, “More super-powers are rotating in, so put those fists up!”
