Fortnite released four years ago and is still one of the biggest games in the world. Despite severe competition from Apex Legends, and Call of Duty Warzone, millions of players still play and enjoy Epic Games’ Battle Royale title.
Like any other game, Fortnite’s user-base primarily comprises casual players. On the flip side, there’s a small number of professional players who grind hard for 8-10 hours a day in order to win tournaments and make a name for themselves. Both these factions of gamers often have contrasting demands, and it is a colossal task for the developers to satisfy them.
It seems like Epic Games is facing similar troubles with the recently released Chapter 2 Season 6 of Fortnite. While casual players seem to love the pre-historic theme, pro players have actively criticized the developers for the same.

Are the Fortnite pros overreacting?
It all started when pro player for TSM, Emad, ranted about the latest Fortnite season on Twitter. In a series of tweets, he talked about how the game is getting worse with every update, and nearing its end.
It’s wraps for Fortnite. GGs Only
— TSM Emad (@EmadGG) March 22, 2021
I actually don't want it to be over, they always just go 1 step foward and 1,000 steps backwards every update

However, Emad soon realized that he’s being too harsh on the developers. He admitted that Fortnite is simply facing an inevitable downfall, and might recover from it in the near future.
ALRIGHT THAT WAS MY LAST NEGATIVE TWEET. WE ARE GOING TO LAST THROUGH THIS UPDATE WITH POSITIVE VIBES ONLY, Gotta be greatful for the oppurtunity Fortnite gave us. Everyone has their ups & downs, even Games do.

Popular Fortnite content creator, AussieAntics, also opened up about Chapter 2 Season 6 on Twitter. Surprisingly, he claimed that he’s already bored with the new season, and recommended some major improvements in makeshift weapon mechanics.
I can't tell if what I enjoy about the new season right now is just that it is new.
I'm scared that this is the fastest I have started to get bored of new content ever in Fortnite.
Hoping the arena point reset gets me excited.
— AussieAntics (@AussieAntics) March 22, 2021
I'll be smashing it out either way as it is fun to just play and talk to chat.
Just think there needs to be major adjustments to the way make-shift works.
The game feels like it doesn't start until half way through when I get a real gun. If I fight before it I hate it so much.
— AussieAntics (@AussieAntics) March 22, 2021
Lastly, pro player for NRG Esports, Clix called Fortnite “dry”.
game so dry 💤

In contrast, 100 Thieves’ player MrSavage seems to love the new season in Fortnite.

Competitive Fortnite is way different from regular public matches. Accordingly, every minor change in the meta drastically impacts the strategies and play style of professional players. On the flip side, casual players always love new content, and have no pressure to adapt to the meta quickly.
Prominent Fortnite creator thatdenverguy talked about Chapter 2 Season 6 in a recent video.
The major bones of contention following the arrival of Chapter 2 Season 6 have been the Cuddle Fishes and the shotguns. Apparently, when combined together, Cuddle Fishes can take out entire squads. Moreover, the explosive damage of the Pump and Primal Shotguns has been troubling a lot of players.

All in all, this is just the beginning of Chapter 2 Season 6. Epic Games certainly has enough time to patch the aforementioned issues, and introduce new content that might satisfy everyone.
