Last week, Fortnite collaborated with the Houseparty app to test the knowledge of its player-base. The Fortnite and Houseparty Twitter accounts assured in-game rewards globally. Enough correct answers were to be registered by April 16.

Thereafter, the video chat app, which was acquired by Epic Games in June last year, revealed a series of questions about the game. 

The majority of the world is ensuing a lockdown to counter the spread of COVID-19. People took to the app to connect with others and even had a go at the Fortnite trivia deck.

Free Wrap For All Fortnite Players

Fortnite players and Houseparty app users had the chance to avail of some exclusive in-game rewards by inferring some answers to the Fortnite trivia. 

And now, thanks to the success of the collaboration, all Fortnite players will be handed out the Fryangles Wrap (a new weapon and vehicle wrap) when the 12.41 update goes live. Houseparty app’s Fortnite trivia deck registered 20million correct answers within the deadline.

 

Both the Houseparty and Fortnite accounts tweeted out the information.

The 12.41 update is due to be launched sometime between April 20 and 24.

To participate, all one had to do is make sure they had a Fortnite account. Then by downloading the Houseparty app on mobile, macOS, or Chrome browser, they had to switch over to the trivia deck.

Houseparty’s Rising Global Trend

In the past month alone, the Houseparty app has undergone 50million sign-ups. According to the data analytics platform, App Annie, Europe was the hotbed for this particular growing demand.  Countries like Italy and Spain topped the curve.

The viral group video calling app has not yielded its official metrics yet. But there is some data available about its performance. Houseparty has witnessed a growth of 70 times than usual in the past month. Across iOS and Andriod platforms, the app surpassed 17million downloads.

According to TechCrunch, the video chat application has seen exponential growth. It became the overall primary app in 16 distinct countries. Houseparty climbed as high as up to the second spot for most downloaded apps in the US for Google Play Store as well as App Store.

Houseparty’s reputation progressed at a time when Zoom, recently encountered disputes after reports of illegal exercises and security concerns.
