Lately, Fortnite has been on the receiving end of hatred due to the developers’ lack of communication with the community. While some have left Fortnite and moved on to newer games for good, others have criticized Epic Games for making the game not enjoyable enough by not bringing in new content.
Famous Fortnite players and content creators like SypherPK, Tfue, and Aydan have raised issues that mar their gameplay and sours the overall in-game experience.

Elliott Watkins, better known online as Muselk, has established a few of his concerns that have been plaguing Fortnite.
The Australian YouTuber posted a series of tweets regarding the issues he has been facing while playing the game. Muselk first posted two short video clips where he dies to his opponent due to some in-game issues. He followed it up with two more tweets explaining his present take about the game.

In the first clip, Muselk is spraying down onto the builds of his opponent. He suddenly gets hit by the enemy’s heavy sniper out of nowhere and dies. It seemed the opponent was phasing through his own builds. In the second clip, his enemy, who is glitching all over the place, kills him by walking through walls. On his screen, it seemed the opponent was lagging. Both these cases appear to be visual bugs in the game related to the in-game performance and server issues.
Dying to glitches (e.g that last tweet), losing Shotgun vs. SMG fights because the SMG was a controller player with auto aim. And then ultimately just getting heavy sniped out of fucking nowhere by someone who wants to play worlds.

Muselk explained in his tweets that the fun element about Fortnite has disappeared as players keep dying because of glitches and server issues. The game has become extraordinarily mechanical and sweaty. Even casual public rounds feel like competitive Fortnite. Muselk also stated how SMGs are dominating against Shotguns in close combat, especially if the opponent with SMG is playing on a controller with aim-assist. A few days back, Tfue also had his judgment to deliver regarding the Shotgun vs. SMG debate.

Muselk further added that “Fortnite is at an absolutely dumb spot,” and went on to mention how it takes six hours for someone like him who has been playing Fortnite every day for a long time to win a single match. He believes that these are some of the reasons why pro, as well as casual players, are quitting the game.
It seems the golden days of Fortnite are gone when new updates would arrive every week or two. Multiple performance issues have been reported, which include ping spikes, FPS problems, server lags, and people phasing through builds. There is a growing trend of prominent content creators and pro players raising their concerns regarding the current state of the game. It highlights the lack of communication between Epic and the Fortnite community. All we can do is hope that this situation will change, and Epic Games will take the necessary steps to revitalize the game we love.
