The all-new Arena Box Fight mode is here to spice up Fortnite gameplay
Now, this new game mode is still in its testing phase. Epic launched this as an effort to provide new competitive experiences for Arena players. In the official blog post, it says:
“Starting March 23, we’re kicking off a two week test run of the community-favorite Creative game mode as a new means of earning Hype. Learn piece control, corner peeks and tracking through builds as you faceoff against players of similar Hype points.”

The Arena Box Fight mode does not have any direct reference to the traditional Arena Fights in the game. Furthermore, this mode does keep a count of your score. However, the Hype points that you earn in this arena will not affect normal Arena Hype points. Instead, the game will separately keep track of your progress. But this also means that the Hype points you earned in the Arena Box Fight test phase will not qualify you for tournaments that require a certain Arena rank.
Without a doubt, Box Fight seems to have caught on pretty fast and is becoming a favorite for the players. It surely is going to be fun while it lasts!
