It is safe to say the actual number of viewers for the Astronomical concert was much higher than even the 12.3 million since many watched the concert via streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube.
The virtual concert took place on the Sweaty Sands Beach. As the players waited for the event to begin, they killed the time in typical Fortnite fashion…by killing one another. That was until an enormous orb appeared in the sky, bursting in a visually impressive manner to indicate the start of the concert.
A colossal projection of Travis Scott appeared and performed for about 15 minutes. The concert even featured a world premiere of one of his songs.
While 15 minutes is not too long, it was impactful and fun to attend. Towards the end of the event, players could even fly around the planet as they pleased.
