Epic Games has become a lot more generous towards free-to-play Fortnite players recently. Since Season 5 Chapter 2 started, loads of free rewards are available for the players. Well, free rewards are always welcome, and no player will ever complain about saving some V-Bucks on cosmetics.

The first one is a glitched reward, therefore it is technically not free. After the introduction of Operation Snowdown, a few players were fortunate enough to receive the Green Arrow outfit. The Crew Monthly Subscription pack, which includes several cosmetics and skins, also had the DC character outfit.

Epic Games was supposed to release the Green Arrow outfit in 2021. However, a few players received it early and Epic corrected its mistake promptly but did pretty well to manage the situation amidst the festive mood. All the players who had received the skin received 500 V-Bucks as compensation.

Furthermore, YouTuber Toshyo discussed the possibilities of more free rewards in one of his recent videos. The launch of the KFC gaming console might be a chance for Epic to give away a free themed skin and pickaxe. In fact, KFC has already posted a concept skin on Twitter.

This skin will probably be available for free only to those players who play the game on the new KFConsole. Epic has made no statements regarding this as yet.

The New Year’s event on Fortnite

New Year’s day is around the corner and all Fortnite players know a special event is upcoming. New Year’s day in 2020 saw a celebratory animation, and free rewards were given out. This time, too, players can expect the same.

In addition, dataminers have leaked a skin that is inside the game files. This might be the New Year’s skin, and chances are that it might be free for all.

Players might have to complete another set of challenges to unlock this skin as well.

Finally, Fortnite’s ‘Save the World’ event’s daily challenges are giving out free V-Bucks. It is the best chance to stack up on some in-game currency by completing a set of challenges, one of which involves simply logging into the game.
