Fortnite introduces Craftable Weapons
The Primal update brings a new weapon crafting system that converts makeshift weapons into two new types of weapons. In order to craft these weapons, players need to collect mechanical parts or animal bones depending upon the type of upgrade. The two types of craftable weapons are the Primal Weapons and the Classic Weapons.
Players can craft Primal weapons by upgrading their Makeshift weapons with Animal Bones. They can find these bones anywhere in the biome and add it on to their inventory, just like the other materials. To craft these weapons, players can switch on to the Crafting tab and select the weapon they want to upgrade.
Primal Weapons provide more damage than Makeshift Weapons, which makes them highly sought after.
Along with the Primal Weapons, players can also craft classic weapons such as the revolvers, assault rifles as part of the Classic Weapons. In order to craft them, players need mechanical parts instead of animal bones. They can find these parts by salvaging vehicles.
Players can easily craft these weapons by using the Crafting Tab. While the Primal Weapons give more damage, the classic weapons provide higher precision while shooting.
Play as a hunter with the new Bows
The new Primal biome also brings back the pre-historic style of warfare by introducing bows. Players can find makeshift bows as loot and convert these weapons into a Primal or a Mechanical Bow using the crafting tab. But the level of customization doesn’t end here, as players can create four more types of Bows with some extra materials such as flammable substances or other organisms. Players can create bows such as the Flame and the Shockwave using these kinds of items.
Pump Shotgun makes a return
A new season also means the return of old weapons and current weapons being deported to The Vault. In Season 6, a lot of common rifles such as the Common AR, Heavy AR, Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle and the Lever Action Rifle will become vaulted. Four different Shotguns in the Tactical, Lever Action, Dragon’s Breath and the Charge will also join the rifles to The Vault. The Pistol and the Compressed SMG will also head to the Vault along with the Thermal and Zero Point fishes.
