The Sixth Season of Chapter 2 has invoked major disappointment among the Fortnite community. Many pros and players have been calling this one the worst season ever. Iconic Fortnite content creator SypherPK recently spoke about this issue and said that this season, while not the best, is not the worst one either. However, he did express concerns about the declining state of the competitive side of things lately and urged Epic Games to make some tweaks.
It is about time Epic released the first update of this season, which is set to go live today. The official Fortnite Status Twitter account posted a tweet announcing this yesterday. According to the thread, there are going to be a lot of changes and tweaks as part of this update.
A new update is about to hatch.
v16.10 is scheduled for release on March 30. Downtime will begin at approx. 4 AM ET (08:00 UTC).

Note that this upcoming update patch will be larger than normal on PC. However, apart from the tweaks and fixes it will add some new content as well. From what it looks like, this update will introduce a new NPC, something they have ominously hinted at as an “Apex Predator”.
From what we know from the leaks and data miners, this might just be the much-anticipated arrival of Velociraptors to the map. Furthermore, on the 3rd of April will begin the new Save the World Ventures Season.

Fortnite update 16.10 is about to make some pretty big changes to the gameplay
This update will finally make the much-needed tweak to the Primal Shotgun. The 16.10 update patch will reduce the fire rate of this weapon and also make some makeshift shotgun adjustments. In addition to this, crafting material costs will now vary with makeshift rarity.

From what the update promises, looks like Epic is trying its best to incorporate all the major community suggestions. The community has been complaining a lot about how all the action in the game seems to be concentrated towards the center. In order to shake things up, devs are experimenting with the final circles by bringing back moving Storm Circles to non-competitive modes for the last two zones.
Those who want to try out the Zero Crisis Finale can still do so as it will stay in the game until the server downtime for this update begins.
