TripleMania, the biggest event of the year from Lucha Libre, AAA worldwide promotion, saw a lot of glorious moments. AEW stars Kenny Omega and Andrade headlined the show. However, it wasn’t just the men who stole the show. It elated several fans to see Deonna Purrazzo win the AAA Reina de Reinas title. This meant that she now holds two belts.

Deonna was a part of the WWE Performance Center and certainly made her way to NXT. During her time, she had decent feuds and looked like a figure the company was going to invest in heavily. However, the infamous budget cuts came, and she got released. A talented young individual, she made her way to IMPACT Wrestling.

Coming of age for Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna, after her initial run in NXT, made her way to IMPACT and won the championship in just a few short months. Many fans have referred to her as the female Kenny Omega, owing to her contending and defending multiple titles. In NXT, they saw her more or less as a mid-card talent, also probably the reason she got released.

Deonna, since moving to IMPACT, has defended her Knockouts championships against contenders from all over the world and is now the AAA champion. Deonna will face Melina for the NWA women’s title next and has nothing but domination on her mind. She has also aligned herself with the Drama King and plans to dabble into inter-gender wrestling.

Right now, her focus remains on keeping the IMPACT and her newly won AAA Women’s Championship to herself. New titles might be on her mind, but she has to stay aware of the division’s finest talents. With an NWA debut coming up, a potential clash with Mickie James could be on the cards. But one thing’s for certain: Purrazzo has taken 2021 by storm, and she might end up being the best women’s wrestler of the year.
