Premier League new-comers Watford have signed defender Miguel Britos from Napoli. The Uruguayan, who is out of contract this summer, has penned a 3-year deal at Vicarage Road.

Britos made 66 appreances for Napoli in a 4 year spell, winning two Coppa Italia trophies, one Super Cup and helped them to finish 2nd in the Serie A in the 2012/13 season.

This is Watford’s ninth signing of the summer, as the newly promoted club are trying assemble a Premier League worthy team, and signing of the 30-year old will definitely boost their defence with the amount of experience the defender possesses.

The 6ft 2in defender was sent off for headbutting Juventus striker Alvaro Morata in what turned out to be his last performance for Napoli.
