Football has had many Legendary managers but the crop of talented managers we have right now is absolutely insane. While many fans love the tactical minds of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, some like Carlo Ancelotti are known for their calm demeanor. But arguably the most talked about manager in football is Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese maestro who has had multiple trophies, is known for his outspoken and unorthodox behaviour. After having a spotless record where he had won a trophy in every club he managed, his dreadful spell with the Tottenham Hotspur ended the streak.

AS Roma off to a flier with Jose Mourinho
Jose’s reign with the Italian club began recently. While some of their key players are away, Roma are putting in the work in the off-season and have started off their pre-season recently.
The 65-year-old’s time with the Italian side got off to a thunderous side as Roma defeated a Serie D side Montecatini 10-0. This was certainly the best possible start Jose could have hoped for, for his team.
The first training game of pre-season has just finished: a 10-0 win against guests Montecatini.

While a team from Serie D might not be a fair competition for a side like AS Roma, a humungous win like 10-0 will help the team to gain some much needed confidence and will help young players like Borja Mayoral and Diawara to be in top form.
Jose will be keen on figuring out the best lineup possible for the Italian giants. Roma certainly have a side with some decent veterans and some talented young players as well.
But the problem always has been the lack of a solid back line. While injuries certainly played a major role in the disappointing performances the Italian giants had last season, Mourinho might have to work his magic with the side if he wants to qualify for the Champions League in a stacked league.

Unlike his other jobs though, Mourinho should not expect a big budget to make big money signings. Given how hard hit the Italian side were, signing a player will only add to the debt.
With limited resources, it will be interesting to see how Mourinho handles the team. Can the Portuguese manager revive his career with AS Roma?
