The transfer season is up and running as Manchester United have signed English wonder kid Jadon Sancho. Sancho who started his career with Manchester City eventually found his way out of England.

Ending up with the German giants Borussia Dortmund, Sancho showed his class with Dortmund. Developing into a premier winger with the Germans, Sancho is touted as one of the best young wingers and getting him at a reduced price of €85 million might be a bargain.

Jadon Sancho speaks about playing for Manchester United

With his incredible pace and his impeccable dribbling skills, the 22-year-old has the potential to be a special talent for the Red Devils. He also creates many goal scoring chances for the team, a trait which is much-needed for United.

Shortly after his announcement of starring for United, Sancho sat for an interview. The 22-year-old had some quirky answers for some of the questions. When asked about what he brings to the table, Sancho said, “Eager to win, determined to get trophies, goal and assists and a bit of skills here and there.”

The former Dortmund winger also had a message for United fans all around the world. “I can’t wait to get started and obviously get trophies to where they belong… See you soon.”

While United do have some exciting attacking talent in their ranks with players like Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, they do not have a proven right wingers in their side. Despite players like Dan James and Mason Greenwood filling in the 4-3-3 system, they haven’t been as effective.

Sancho certainly is a big upgrade for the United in this regard. Over the last three seasons, the 22-year-old has had incredible numbers for the German giants. In the 92 games he played for Yellow and Black last three seasons, Sancho had an immaculate 78 goal contributions.

Given that he is still only 22 years of age, and years away from his prime, it is only scary to imagine how impactful he can be for the Red Devils if he fulfils his potential. But giving ample opportunities to the English winger will be key. Can OGS bring the best out of Sancho?
