Erling Haaland is one of the hottest prospects in the world of football right now. The young Norwegian star is currently playing for German club Borussia Dortmund and has scored at an amazing rate in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked to Premier League club Chelsea as their starting striker, Timo Werner, is struggling to acclimatize to the English top-flight. He talked about the links with Chelsea and revealed that he was enjoying his time at BVB.

“I don’t really have much to say about this. I have three years left on my contract, and I’m enjoying my time here (at Dortmund). Before yesterday, I didn’t speak to my agent in one month – I think you have the answer there,” Haaland revealed.
He also balked at the fact that Chelsea reportedly submitted a bid of over $200 million for him and added that he hopes these were just rumors.
Haaland said, “I don’t really care too much about that. It’s a lot of money – I hope it’s just rumors, to be honest, because that’s a lot of money for a person!”
Additionally, Haaland might be the second Dortmund player to leave the club for the Premier League as Manchester United signed young English winger and Haaland’s strike partner, Jadon Sancho.
The two had a fantastic partnership, and both of them ended the season with over 35 goal contributions.
Erling Haaland and his unreal goal record in numbers
While Haaland might balk at the money Chelsea are willing to pay for him, his playing style justifies the fee. The young forward has taken the world by storm and reached another level at Dortmund. The Norwegian forward has 40 goals and 11 assists in 43 Bundesliga games.

However, this is nowhere near his stats in the Champions League. Haaland has delivered on the biggest stage in club football as he has scored 20 goals and has 3 assists in just 16 games.
