The second week of Wimbledon Championships 2021 has begun and this is when the competition gets stiffer. In the fourth round, Aryna Sabalenka took on Elena Rybakina. After winning the first couple of meetings, Sabalenka won today’s match 6-3 4-6 6-3.?
Set 1: Aryna Sabalenka gets off to a great start
Elena Rybakina opened proceedings in the match. However, both players were broken in their opening service games. As the set progressed, Aryna Sabalenka upped the ante and was being the aggressive one.?

She broke the Kazakhstan player in the fifth and the ninth game, which gave her the edge in the set. During the set, Aryna hit fewer unforced errors, leading her to capitalize the opening set after 36 minutes.?

Set 2: Elena Rybakina bounces back?
In the following set, the Kazakhstan player broke the Belarusian in the very first game. She consolidated the break by holding her serve and made it 2-0. However, in the sixth game of the set, Sabalenka broke right back to level things up.?
Elena needed to win the set at any cost to push the match into the third set and she broke Aryna in the next game. In the end, the one break at the start of the set helped her win and level proceedings.?After 41 minutes into the set, Rybakina clinched the set.?

Set 3: The Belarusian player comes out on top?
As the final set began, both players were playing accurately and leaving no room for error. Things were going steady until the eighth game when Sabalenka got the needed break.?
In the following game, she served it out and registered a win over the Kazakhstan player, claiming the set 6-3. During the set, Aryna hit more aces, more winners, and fewer unforced errors than her opponent.??

After winning today’s match, Sabalenka has made it to the quarterfinal of a Grand Slam event for the first time. She will take on the player in form, Ons Jabeur in the quarterfinals at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. It will be interesting to see who ends up winning that contest.?
