Electronic Arts just announced that fans will not get a FIFA 21 demo this year. They have a simple reason, ” We have made the decision to focus our development team’s time on delivering the best full game experience for current and next-gen consoles.”
We aren't releasing a demo for FIFA 21.
Instead we've made the decision to focus our development team's time on delivering the best full game experience for current & next-gen consoles.
We look forward to EA PLAY members jumping in 10 days from now and launching the game Oct 9.

The game will be launched on October 9, unlike its annual September release. This delay comes because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
FIFA 21: Details that we know so far
Starting with the price, FIFA 21 has three editions for players to choose :
- Standard edition costs $59.99
- Champions edition costs $79.99
- Ultimate edition costs $99.99
These editions are classified on the basis of extra perks for the FIFA ultimate team players and kits. The game will be available across current-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox one, as well as the next-gen consoles, the PS5, and the Xbox series X.
Will skipping the demo actually make FIFA better?
Some fans are actually disappointed as FIFA breaks its tradition. Also, practically, there is not much that devs can add into the full game experience even if they put in the time saved from skipping the demo.
However, for some fans, playing the demo is really not a big deal. Simply, they do not mind skipping four-minute halves against AI. They trust EA with this decision and expect a well-improved edition of FIFA this October.
PES 2021 has already released and the game is fetching great reviews. EA definitely has a huge FIFA fan base but it won’t underestimate the competition by Konami. This makes the October release of the game as important as ever.
Gameplay changes and career mode improvements
EA has introduced the ‘Quick Sim’ option this time which enables players to jump in and out of games to influence the direction of the season.
There is a new Active Training System to improve players’ abilities and the opposition AI has been enhanced. Apart from this, the game will also have improved controller haptics, lighting system, audio, and off-ball humanization.
For better Gameplay, FIFA is going to have new attacking systems like Agile Dribbling, Positioning Personality and Creative Runs that grant better player movement.
Goalmouth scrambles, possession battles, and attacking duels will help in a more realistic gaming experience.
