Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are two of the most popular tennis players in the world. The two are definite fan favourites at most tournaments. On the other end of the spectrum, Djokovic is often the antagonist and was often booed by the Wimbledon faithful during his run to the title.
The Wimbledon crowd were particularly hostile towards the Serbian during his third-round match with British No 1 Kyle Edmund.
During the match, Djokovic spent a fair amount of time between points. He even argued with the umpire on a number of occasions.

But, tennis legend Martina Navratilova claimed that the attitude and desire shown on court made Djokovic different. She feels that such a display is good for the sport.
?Novak is a truly great champion,? Navratilova said.
?He gets a hard time sometimes from the crowd because he?s not like the two Mr Perfects in Roger Federer and Rafa but what he does on the court, it?s nothing really.

?He was brought up to be brutally honest, as I was, and it turns out a lot of people don?t necessarily like that but, to me, that?s a breath of fresh air.
?If you could define Novak in one shot, a shot that highlights when he?s on form, it?s that outside foot on the backhand where he slides across.

Earlier this month, Djokovic managed to defeat Nadal en route to another Wimbledon Grand Slam final. It soon turned into his 13th title at Wimbledon as he breezed past Kevin Anderson.
The 31-year-old was embroiled in a match that lasted five hours to beat Nadal in the semi finals. But he was able to comfortably see off Anderson in straight sets in the final.
