FC Barcelona’s fixtures for 2015-16 season

The Spanish League Federation recently released the full fixture list for the upcoming season of the top tier Spanish football. We present to you the fixtures details for the defending champions- FC Barcelona.

Before they officially kick off their season, five pre-season games were scheduled for the Catalan club out of which they have already played their three games in the International Champions Cup against the likes of Premier League outfits, Manchester United and Chelsea and one with the David Beckham owned side LA Galaxy.

The last game of ICC for FC Barcelona will be played in Italy against ACF Fiorentina on 2 August. After that the Blaugranas will conclude their pre-season with the traditional annual football competition – ‘The Joan Gamper Trophy’ which will put up the current title holders against the Italian outfit AS Roma.

Barca will then kick off their quest for a potential sextuple which comprises the remaining three trophies they can aim for out of which two are the Super Cups – The Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the third one – Club World Cup.

The Spanish Super Cup pits the Catalans against the Basque Country club Athletic Bilbao in a two-legged affair while in the UEFA Super Cup Barca will face off another Spanish opponent Sevilla as the match is played between the winner of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The Club World Cup matches will take place during the month of December in Japan where Luis Enrique’s men will go against the Argentinian club River Plate in the semifinals.

The two legs of El Clasico are scheduled for 8 November, 2015 and 3 April, 2016.
