‘Simplicity’ is key for settings, according to Simp
The basic video settings that Chris talks about are pretty simple yet practical. He keeps his refresh rate at 240 Hz and his V-Sync off in the game. As for the NVIDIA settings, he uses the boosted Low Latency mode, thereby keeping the clock speed of the GPU as high as possible.
For the field of view, Simp recommends keeping it at 100 to 105 at the most. If you are using a controller to play the game, keeping the field of view higher than 105 might lose the aim assist. As for details and texture, he prefers keeping his settings at low to medium. In fact, Simp reveals that he only uses medium settings so it adds a bit more detail, giving him an edge while competing against others.

Sensitivity and controls in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
The gameplay mechanics are highly different in Black Ops Cold War compared to the other multiplayer titles in the franchise right now, like Warzone or Modern Warfare. Simp’s controls might come handy for freshers to the game, as well as the ones trying to make a name for themselves in the pro or competitive scene in BOCW.
These are his sensitivity settings on the controller:
- Horizontal and vertical stick sensitivity: 6
- Low zoom ADS stick sensitivity: 1
- High zoom ADS stick sensitivity: 1.1

He uses ‘dynamic’ for the frame response curve type for no reason other than the fact that he is comfortable with it. Simp explains that it is entirely a question of preference.
For most 0f his settings, Simp sticks with the default ones, like most players do while exploring BOCW during its first-ever season. Will Simp etch his name in the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Hall of Fame? We sure hope so!
