Fortnite battle royale has seen its ups and downs, While the Travis Scott event was extremely successful, and crossed over 12.3 million viewership. With the new v12.50 update everything seemed good. However issues like teaming up, or cheating, are some issues take time to resolve. There are very few ways to catch one red handed at this. With only circumstantial evidence and allegations, the official response gets delayed in search for details. 

One of these is the issue of cheating in competitive Fortnite competitions. Breaking the rules blatantly without any reason. It is only until the cheaters are caught that they feel ashamed about it. We saw how four players received a ban during FNCS for cheating. However, this time the allegation is on a FaZe Clan member. Although there has not been any official verdict yet, the allegation seems justified.    

Footage Of Cheating In Fortnite?

On May 2nd, footage went viral on Twitter featuring Danny “Dubs” Walsh from FaZe Clan. The footage was of a solo cash cup competition and teaming up in that was clearly against the rules. Leafrr provided the video evidence with an allegation that Dubs was teaming up. The allegation holds water as it had three specific elements that get termed as teaming.

From looting to engaging in a dual-show off against another player, to not fighting with each other. These three points seem to oddly point to the fact that Dubs was indeed using unfair means. The video evidence does reek of cheating here, and it is up to the Fortnite officials now to dispense judgment.

Dubs Previously Suspended From FaZe?

FaZe Clan did suspend him after his controversial racial remark on Twitch. If that did not teach him a lesson, then perhaps this mistake is no mistake at all. Even after being in a precarious situation, the player seems to invite trouble for himself. 

The video footage was damning, and it corroborated with the fact the alleged cheaters are on the same Discord group. However, circumstantial evidence can never be enough to support the allegation. Fortnite officials are still on the hunt for hard evidence before they take any action. We have already seen too much drama whenever Fortnite announces a tournament. Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of this and have a fair tournament.
