Respawn added badges to Apex Legends way back in season 1. Apart from the things players could unlock and earn from the Battle Pass, badges provided a distinct way to distinguish seasoned players who put in a lot of time and effort into the game. It offers players who grind the game a lot with a unique feeling of prestige and also something to put on their banners for display.

The badges aren’t worth anything on their own. Unlocking those doesn’t provide any special items but is still fun to earn and work for. Players obtain many badges from achieving certain things in the game with any character. There are also several that are only attainable with a particular legend.

However, its already been a long time since these badges came out, and Respawn hasn’t done much apart from adding some new badges. Fans are now engaging in conversations over changes or improvements they wish to see to the badges in the future.

Fans Suggest Changes To Apex Legends Badges

The r/apexlegends subreddit is a place where the Apex Legends community actively engages in conversations about everything related to the game. Recently one such member, u/RhoamTheWise, recently created a thread where he suggested a QOL (Quality Of Life) change he wishes to see in the game. He provided graphical reworks for improved tracking of many current (season 4) badges for the upcoming season. These include badges such as Apex Bloodhound, Team Work, Assassin, and Bloodhound’s Wake.

Soon, many members joined the conversations with ideas of their own. User u/JayEmSea1 suggested the idea for an advanced badge system. He said, “Either higher levels of the same badges, new badges, or “win 100 games with 8 or more Legends and get a gold apex logo.”. Another user, Gapeman7, suggested a Lonewolf badge with tiers, while TMillo proposed a tiered ‘The Master of All.’

Reworks For Some More Badges

While there were lots of new ideas for additional badges, certain members also recommended reworks be implemented for some existing ones. TheTjalian mentioned why The Well Rounded badge should be tiered. Right now, the 20,000 damage mark is too convenient to reach. He suggested progressively increasing the damage mark for different legends.

WhiteLama proposed improving the tracking of the “5 kills in 5 games” badge for various legends. Right now, it’s not possible to know how many games a player is away from unlocking it. Another user advised bringing greater challenges for “win games,” “deal damage,” “win elite games” type of badges for various legends.
