The WNBA regular season is over. Eight teams have advanced to the playoffs, where three rounds of five-game series will be played. The reigning champion Las Vegas Aces has won the No. 1 overall seed and home-court advantage throughout the 2023 WNBA playoffs. The Aces’ spot was secured when the New York Liberty was defeated by the Washington Mystics, pushing down Liberty to the second spot.

Amidst the playoff talks, a New Orleans legend explains his favor for shooters and how they pose considerable threats top 2 “super teams“. The ex-NBA player admits his preference for Sabrina Ionescu and Kelsey Plum has something to do with his adoration for Steph Curry.

J. J. Redick, an NBA legend, sat down with two game commentators, Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones Jr, on his YouTube channel to assess the WNBA’s Playoff Preview. The two guest experts discussed who they believe may upset Liberty, as well as Aces from the third-seeded Connecticut Suns. Duncan chose Tiffany Hayes, while Jones Jr. picked DeWanna Bonner.

Redick agreed with Jones Jr who chose Bonner. He said he had a preference for her since she shoots a lot of three’s. “I prefer the response, ‘DeWanna Bonner’ more because I’m partial to players shooting a lot of threes.” This explains the fanboying moment of Steph Curry. Redick has revealed his preference for shooters. And given their shooting abilities, Sabrina Lonsecu and Kelsey Plum should be his WNBA favorites.

Sabrina Ionescu set all NBA and WNBA three-point contest records in the 2023 all-star games. She even outperformed Stephen Curry. Sabrina’s incredible 3-point shooting talent was on display at the mid-July All-Star game. She shocked everyone by hitting an incredible 37 of 40 shots. It’s appropriate to refer to the sniper as the WNBA’s Curry. With the second-best record in the league, the New York club is well-positioned to defeat the Aces

Whereas Kelsey Plum exhibited her best shooter skills with Lynx. She became the first player in Las Vegas history to score 40 points in a game.
