Lewis Hamilton thanked several people recently for supporting him in Monaco. Notably, his ‘fans’ are some high-profile celebrities who were in attendance to back him and Mercedes F1. Unfortunately, the Monaco GP did not turn out as Lewis must have hoped for, who could only manage a P8. Moreover, his race grew into displeasure and frustration with Fernando Alonso blocking him throughout.

With fan hopes increased since the Spanish GP, many expected Mercedes drivers to perform on this track. However, Hamilton could only qualify for P8 after a major collision between front-running rivals caused a hindrance. The Red flag came out as the Briton could not improve on his previous time, while George Russell sneaked into the top 6.

Moreover, the 37-year-old was sandwiched between old rivals Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel. As expected, the race was not one Hamilton hoped for, as he struggled to get past Alonso. The Spaniard arguably slowed down the whole midfield for quite a while with his pace and defensive skills.

Celebrities came out to support Lewis Hamilton in Monaco

Despite disappointing performances marking Hamilton’s run this season, nothing spoils his fame. The paddock was full of his admirers and well-known faces. Hamilton took to social media to express his gratitude towards Shaun White, Russell Wilson, etc. Notably, widely known Supermodel Naomi Campbell was also present to support the Briton.

Hamilton also posted a video of actress Nina Dobrev. In the video, we could see her very shocked after witnessing the pace of an F1 car. The video was rather amusing and also entertained Hamilton himself, who marked it with an emoji. Moreover, the Britisher took out time to pose for several pictures with many of these celebrities.

While the Billion Dollar Man’s performance was disappointing, he has arguably had a rough season. With no wins under his belt, Hamilton has made only one podium till now. To add salt to the wounds, teammate Russell has been thriving in the same car.
