The Australian remembers casually sending GSP an invitation to the Canadian GP in Montreal. Little did he know, the MMA legend accepted his invite and showed up to support Daniel. Ricciardo remembers GSP’s words and how he humbly downplayed his own achievements. He said,

“The crazy thing was he said that what I do is insane, and I was just like, no if you’re like getting this wrong mate, you’re getting it wrong. So he was in awe, he was in awe of the sport which was really cool, but like yeah, he was downplaying what he’d done in his career.”

Furthermore, the Honey Badger remembers jokingly telling the legend, “I was like yeah, settle down buddy, settle down.”
