Rafael Nadal once again left everyone speechless after he won another French Open title. We know the Spanish legend as the king of clay and he duly proved his reputation by winning for the 14th time at Roland Garros. F1 drivers took to social media to congratulate the Spanish bull for winning his 22nd Grand Slam in Paris on Sunday.

No men’s tennis player has ever won more Grand Slam in history. He extended the lead over his rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, who are still at 20 grand slams. Formula One drivers and fellow Spanish superstars Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso were quick to congratulate their compatriot.
F1 drivers shower praises for Rafael Nadal
Sainz declared Nadal as the best tennis player ever. The Ferrari driver did not hide his allegiance while congratulating Rafa on his accomplishment. Meanwhile, two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso took to Instagram to congratulate the Spanish player.

Nadal was at his best in Paris on Sunday as he pushed aside the challenge of Casper Ruud in the final.

Other F1 drivers like Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly also shared their excitement about Nadal’s achievement. Gasly simply wrote on his Instagram Stories “Beyond Greatness”.

Carlos would look to take inspiration from Rafa in his bid to win his first driver’s championship this season. He is in P5 this season but still in the hunt for the title after 7 races.

The Ferrari driver has struggled compared to his teammate Charles Leclerc at the beginning of the 2022 season. He has stood on the podium four times this season but has not yet won his first race. He needs to take his first win in Formula One as soon as possible so that he can remain a factor in the championship.
“I just need to be a bit quicker. I need one or two-tenths, in terms of qualifying and race pace. If I find those one or two-tenths, I found in the second half of last year with last year’s car, the earlier I find them, the earlier the win will come. I’ve been working hard to find them,” said Sainz.
