Williams driver Lance Stroll has been linked with a potential move to Force India next season. The young Canadian confessed that his F1 future may not lie with Williams. As his current team struggles in 2018, Stroll has been evaluating his options. Like any driver, he is bidding to land himself a more competitive seat.

Now, some sources suggest that Force India is a leading contender to sign the Canadian. This could be a good move for him as he will get a more competitive car under him. Force India could also benefit from any potential financial injection that the Strolls can bring, so its a win-win situation.

A cash boost accompanying a move by Force India could lead to closer ties with Mercedes. It would be reminiscent to what Sauber is doing with Ferrari, both on the technical front and in terms of running junior drivers.
