It’s finally here! Ferrari has just launched its 2024 challenger, the SF-24, ahead of the season opener. Keeping up with the tradition, despite some fear, the Italian team has painted the car red, as seen during the livery launch. However, underneath the color, the overall design of the car looks the same. Not similar to its 2023 edition but looks similar to the rest of the grid so far. At least that’s what the fans are criticizing the Italian team for in their reactions to the car.

The Tifosi flocked to social media, including X to watch the online reveal of the car. Ferrari made a beautiful video with snippets from last year and a short clip of Enzo Ferrari for the reveal. However, after the excitement faded and the fans took a closer look, the Ferrari challenger looked exactly like the Red Bull, Aston Martin, or the Mercedes car.

The fans expressed this opinion in their reactions to the tweet highlighting the car’s differences by Craig Scarborough. The fans brutally dissected the car’s design and compared it to the previous season’s liveries of the three teams.

The fans are not only expressing their disappointment but also calling it a Red Red Bull, an assessment we’re sure Ferrari wouldn’t appreciate.

There is a general air of disappointment toward the car. If the car is competitive enough and the Ferrari men can extract the car’s true potential, all complaints will be forgotten. However, the car that gave Carlos Sainz a to of headaches in 2023 still won him a race and was the closest to Red Bull as highlighted by Fernando Alonso.

Alonso brought to everyone’s attention how Ferrari was closest to Red Bull in 2023. He especially pointed out Charles Lecelrc’s performance in the last two races of the season where he was as fast as the RB19.

While discussing his former team hiring a new superstar for the 2025 season, Alonso gave his two cents on the blockbuster news. In doing so, he talked about the performances and the competitiveness toward the end despite the gap at the start of the season. “At the end of last year, even with a very dominant Red Bull car, Ferrari [was] still able to match the lap time and to be faster than them in most of the qualifying. So, I think the car should be fast enough,” said Alonso.
