Quite recently, Sportico released a list of highest-paid athletes from around the world under the age of 25. And right on top of the sheets stood NFL star Josh Allen, with a yearly salary of a whopping $66.5M. The American is rather way ahead of the rest of the pack, as the second closest is four-time Grand Slam champion, Naomi Osaka with a salary of $53.2M.

The Japanese Tennis champion is being closely tail-gated by Kylian Mbappe, the French footballer currently eyeing a move to Real Madrid. Mbappe is now earning around $48.8M. Behind the star-studded top-3 is the current Formula One defending champion, Max Verstappen.

Verstappen is currently receiving a paycheck of $43M from Red Bull Racing; The Austrian outfit is desperate not to lose its hold on the Dutchman amid rising interest from the entire grid. Also, his value is likely to further increase from here, considering his recent form.

While the names ahead of him are illustrious, Verstappen finds himself ahead of many big names as well. Jake Paul, now known for his time in the ring, draws in a whopping $37 Million in earnings; however, the number falls shy of Verstappen’s fortunes. Phoenix Suns’ #1 Devin Booker too finds himself behind the 2021 champion, despite the well-reputed salaries at the NBA.

Despite the frequent retirements, Verstappen is certainly on course to win his second consecutive world championship title.
