Formula 1 has made a conscious effort in the recent past to expand its operations and reach in the United States of America. One way the sport has been able to tap into the American market is through the popular Netflix docuseries, Drive to Survive. That being said, the sport and its owners, Liberty Media, have also extended the scope of its racing activities. Come the 2023 F1 season, America will have three races on the calendar. But what the sport has done in addition to this is to introduce the fans of other popular American sports to the world of F1. And Pierre Gasly has lent his hand to its newest venture.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix will feature on the F1 calendar this year. However, after making its debut in 2022, the Miami Grand Prix is keen to retain and add to its fanbase. In pursuit of this, the Miami GP collaborated with Miami’s own NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, for a special feature with Pierre Gasly. Gasly has had an affinity for the NFL. But how did it go down with the fans?

But that wasn’t all. Fans on Instagram were also quick to point out that Hill was able to outrun the Frenchman with relative ease. This must’ve been embarrassing for Gasly. One fan wrote, “Dang Tyreeo beat him just jogging.” While another commented, “The fact he is jogging is funny.” Hill’s dominance was easy to see, “@cheetah looked like he was jogging.”
Fans weren’t letting go of the fact that Hill demolished Gasly while not even being at full throttle! Apart from the heckling though, fans were also pretty stoked to see this collaboration.
One fan expressed this. They said, “My favorite driver and my favorite nfl player! Omg I’m dead.”
