Over the years, Lewis Hamilton and Tom Brady shot to the top of their respective sports. While they compete in different sports, they share a few similarities. Both are seven-time world champions, and have only competed for two different teams in their respective careers.
Last year, Brady shocked NFL fans across the world when he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a long association with the New England Patriots. Recently, the 44-year-old returned to the Gillette Stadium, home to the Patriots in a match between his current team and his former team. This drew reactions from many across the world, including Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton shares Tom Brady post on social media

Prior to his game with the Patriots, Brady took to social media to share a post about him playing against the Patriots. This was a video depicting some of his best moments with the Patriots and garnered over 19 million views and 650,000 likes.
Hamilton shared this post as a story on his Instagram profile to show appreciation for the NFL quarterback. Along with the post, the Briton wrote, “Let’s go!”

Despite the Patriots’ best efforts, they couldn’t avoid defeat to Brady’s new team. However, the Buccaneers won by a narrow 19-17 scoreline despite dominating the first and third quarters of the game.

Can Hamilton secure a record-breaking eighth title this year?
While the pair are chasing an eighth world championship, both are in different stages of progress. Brady can only win it should the Buccaneers qualify for the playoffs and win the Super Bowl, which won’t happen till 2022.

However, Hamilton has just seven races to defend his two-point lead in the driver’s championship over Max Verstappen. The pair have had several flashpoints this season with the championship lead changing frequently.

The next race in the ongoing F1 season will be the Turkish Grand Prix, which will take place in Istanbul this weekend. Last year, Hamilton won this race to seal his seventh world title, equalling the record set by Michael Schumacher.
