Formula 1 is a high-performance sport. Hence, for drivers to be able to perform at peak capacity, they need to keep their physique and health in check. However, it does get more difficult with age. That being said, Wolff has highlighted how Tom Brady is the perfect role model for Lewis Hamilton in this case. But is he, though?

Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT of the NFL. That being said, he is nearer to the end of his career than Hamilton. However, that doesn’t mean that the two champions aren’t sharing a sordid 2022. For Brady though, also is battling an intense split from his wife, Gisele Bundchen. But Wolff believes Brady is still an example for the Brit, Hamilton.

Wolff compared Hamilton to Brady by saying, “You look, for me, at the best athlete in the world, Tom Brady, on the field being tackled and throwing a ball at 45 years old. As long as you continue to look after yourself and your cognitive sensors, I think he has many more years in him.” He continued, “I’m pretty certain that’s going to be the case here in the team.”

Toto Wolff isn’t too optimistic about Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes’ chances for the remainder of 2022

Mercedes has shown an upturn in form in the past few weeks. Even though that elusive win hasn’t come, the Silver Arrows and Lewis Hamilton in particular have been relatively close to the top step of the rostrum. However, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff isn’t buying any of it.

After dominating F1 for the last 8 years, Mercedes finally dropped the ball in 2022. But Toto Wolff believes that Mercedes’ fight back to the pinnacle of Formula 1 isn’t going to be straightforward or quick.

Wolff spoke to BILD exclusively about this. He began by saying, “I’m never confident when it comes to victories and world titles. I generally see the glass as half empty and not half full. There is no reason to be overwhelmed by the developments of the last few weeks.”

He ended the whole sentiment on an optimistic note. “We still have a lot of catching up to do and luckily we have the whole winter to do that.”
