Lewis Hamilton is arguably one of the greatest drivers of all time. Although, even the greats make mistakes sometimes. Hamilton had an excellent chance to win his first race of the season. However, it was not Hamilton’s day as he crashed with Alonso in the first lap.

Fortunately for Lewis, his NFL-co-owned team Denver Broncos won their first match of the pre-season, giving him a reason to smile.

Things got uglier when Hamilton’s ex-teammate, Fernando Alonso labeled him “an idiot” after the duo collided. Eventually, Lewis Hamilton took the blame for crashing into Alonso and admitted he had nothing to say about Alonso’s remarks about him.

Hamilton said, “It was definitely my fault today.” He further added, “I tried to overtake on the outside of Turn 5, just didn’t leave quite enough space. It wasn’t intentional it just happened.”

Anyway, Hamilton brushed off his forgettable day in Spa by cheering for his co-owned NFL team, Denver Broncos. The 7-time world champion posted the score of the Broncos’ pre-season win on his Instagram story with the caption “Let’s go”.
