F1 ace Lewis Hamilton missed the 2021 FIA prize-giving gala held earlier this week in Paris. Team Principal Toto Wolff and Hamilton took this bold stance after the dramatic turn of events at Abu Dhabi cost him a record 8th world title. However, amidst this disappointment, images surfaced on social media recently with a heartwarming message for the Briton.
A young karter, Zack Zhu, who was supposed to hand Lewis his trophy at the gala, penned an emotional message for his racing hero. The Mercedes star looked all set to defend his title with a comfortable lead over Max Verstappen in the Abu Dhabi GP. However, after some controversial calls by race control, he ended up losing the race.

The Mercedes legend might have to face financial sanctions for allegedly causing a breach of FIA rules. The newly elected FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem is looking closely into the matter.
In a recent press briefing, he stated that the Briton will have to face a sanction if he is found to be breaching any rule. “So we are going to look into the side of where the technical rules are there to be employed and was he in breach? I have to look into it,” as reported by Autosport.
