Being the first black F1 driver comes with its benefits. Lewis Hamilton is an idol for all people of color to get into Formula 1, as he is the only black man on the grid. However, before him, it was Willy T. Ribbs who tested a Brabham BT54 for Bernie Ecclestone in 1985 on the Estoril, Portugal, circuit, becoming the first-ever black driver of an F1 car but never coming close to an actual seat in the series.

Not only that, but Lewis Hamilton is also the only driver to have won more than 100 races in his career. It will definitely take an article of its own if we were to talk about his accolades, but that’s not the point here. The point here is that he has millions of fans across the world because of his personality and talent.

So it’s only fair that when we headed towards the Great White North, we saw some fans of Lewis Hamilton wearing his jersey to support him. Many adults, teens, and kids are fans of the Mercedes driver who is going to Ferrari, and among all the fans, one of them stood out. However, it was not for looking too out of place but for being too accurate to miss. F1 Journalist Mariana Gertum Becker was present at the track for the Canadian GP, and that’s where she spotted a Mini-Me version of Lewis Hamilton, and the resemblance is uncanny.

Lewis Hamilton’s littlest and biggest fan

Becker was down at the Circuit Gillies Villeneuve, and her Instagram story section just exploded. She uploaded multiple stories with pictures of the F1 cars and people she saw at the event. This included the one with Hamilton Jr. While he was not related to Lewis Hamilton, he looked exactly what you would think the F1 fashion icon would look like.

A young boy had cornrows in his hair like the 7-time world champion rocked at the moment as he wore the number 44 jersey. To complement the king of F1 fashion, he also wore some really fashionable blue boots to go with the jersey. The young star attracted the attention of many around the paddocks, and even more so online.

Although the Mercedes driver ran a standard buzz cut during his younger years of racing, little Hamilton is more of a mini-me than a blast from the past. It would be amazing to see them pose together, even more so for the young fan to grow up to be a world champion. While the child’s dressing was sober compared to Hamilton’s ‘out-there’ fashion style,  it was an amazing tribute to the Mercedes champion.

That being said, little Hamilton is not the only fan around the paddocks. In a recent revelation, Liam Lawson explains the influence of the Brit on his life in an interview with talkSPORT.
