The 2022 season brings an array of regulation changes. There are completely new cars, new driver pairing, and much more on the grid. What the 2022 season also brings is a chance for redemption for drivers and teams to make up for previous mishaps and misfortune. Charles Leclerc did exactly that this weekend. This weekend in Bahrain Ferrari and Leclerc made up for the ghosts of 2019 where the race win slipped from their fingertips.

Charles Leclerc Gets His Redemption at Bahrain
The Monegasque driver was leading the 2019 Bahrain GP when an engine issue led him to miss out on a win. Leclerc had to settle for a podium that night. Later, he was seen being consoled by Lewis Hamilton in the cool-down room.

The then 7-time world champion reassured Leclerc “you drove really well today….. you’ve got a long long future ahead of you”
However, no consolation was necessary this weekend, with Leclerc dominating the entire weekend from start to finish. Ferrari and Charles had a flawless run in Bahrain this year. The team secured a one 2 finish with Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
Leclerc even went on to joke about 2019, pranking his team and giving his engineers a big shock.

However, from the looks of it, Ferrari seems to be back and the fans can be seen wishing the same.
He even did the iconic car weaving that seb did in Malaysia in 2015

They secured pole in qualifying and did not set a foot wrong during the race on the way to a 1-2 finish. Ferrari-powered teams also benefited from this resurgence, with Haas finishing P5 and Alfa Romeo P6.
