If there’s one thing Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have proved to us, it’s that even in F1 age is no bar. Although the age factor does come into play on the opposite spectrum. To become a part of the circus, the training starts at a young age. Every kid dreaming of becoming a Formula 1 driver needs to start at a very young age. Both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen did it and many others do it too. This is exactly what sets the chosen 20 apart from the rest. This is why let us highlight the next generational talent, or the next Hamilton or Verstappen, that might grace the sport in the future.

Video games have become a big part of our society and aren’t as frowned upon as they used to be in the past. The multi-billion dollar industry has also become extremely advanced over the years. The prime example of this is simulations. Sims are so popular they have been integrated into various industries for training purposes for their lifelike response, including F1. The Red Bull man is a massive fan of sim racing and all teams use simulators for practice, among other things.

In fact, sim racing has become a valid and well-paying career in today’s day and age. So when we see a young 5-year-old kid absolutely tear it up on the simulator, we can’t help but wonder. Wonder if we’re looking at the next Hamilton or Verstappen? The 5-year-old put a lap on Zandvoort that would impress the two world champions as well.

Now we’re not going to make you feel bad and ask what were you doing when you were five. However, this is what it takes to become an F1 driver. This is the level of commitment and dedication to a sport it takes to get to the top.

The young Lewis Hamilton showcases ultimate dedication toward racing

Before becoming a multi-millionaire, the Mercedes man had a humble beginning. Although despite his circumstances, Hamilton was always inclined toward racing. He showcased that when he was a mere 7 years old.

An old interview with Hamilton showcased how dedicated and passionate he was about racing, even if it was for a remote-controlled car.

In this video, a dedicated Hamilton is racing for a championship against much older opponents, some even 11 or 12 years old. However, taking on a challenge was never a problem for Hamilton as he showcased in his F1 debut season and also during this race, which he won. A 7-year-old Hamilton took home the race and the championship with him that day.

Don’t get us wrong, Hamilton still enjoys a toy car from time to time. Although, his intensity towards racing transcends the vehicle he races with, and this is exactly what sets him apart.
