Lately, Maria Sharapova has been catering to her love for F1 while enjoying her retirement life. Recently, she found her way to the Miami GP where she did not just witness the race, but also the qualifying. Then came the Monaco GP and the tennis beauty was there as well. For some strange reason, the outing sent her down memory lane to the times when she played as a regular. As she revealed how that happened, emotional fans couldn’t help but demand she made a comeback.
The Miami GP, just like the inaugural edition a year ago, turned out to be quite a starry affair in 2023 as well. While sports stars from different disciplines and A-list Hollywood celebrities descended upon the Miami International Autodrome, the tennis royalties grabbed all the spotlights. From Roger Federer to Serena Williams and Sharapova, everyone had a great time cheering for their favorite drivers. Maria, who was there for the Monaco GP as well, presented Max Verstappen with the trophy for the pole position on Saturday.

Being one of the most celebrated athletes in the world, Masha had access to the grid before the start of the race. While she was at it, an F1 correspondent asked her who she was supporting. Maria revealed that she was great friends with Lewis Hamilton and was cheering for him. No wonder she had access to his garage when she was there to witness the qualifying in Miami.
After the conclusion of the Monaco GP where her favorite driver missed out on the podium finish by just one place, she posted some stunning pictures of herself on Twitter. In one of those, she also posed with soccer sensation Neymar Jr for a selfie. In the caption of the post, Masha wrote, “A very different version of the French Open Sunday I’m used to.”
The French Open has started already as the first round kicked off yesterday. However, being at the track made her feel not the usual feels she is used to ahead of the start of the renowned Roland Garros tournament.
Take a look at how fans reacted to her pictures and the caption.

What I love seeing in tennis players that have moved on to brand new chapters is HAPPINESS. Whether it's having a baby, announcing a winner or improving tennis off the court – it's the geniuine delight in rushing the net and going forward. #Winner
