The king of Formula 1 met the Queen of Tennis in Austin ahead of the US GP. Soon after, Lewis Hamilton shared a heartwarming post with Serena Williams on his Instagram. The duo was joined by Lewis’s dad, Anthony Hamilton, as they were recorded discussing tennis.

In the race, Max Verstappen crushed Hamilton’s hope of his first race win of the season. However, Lewis Hamilton will be happy with his team’s performance in US GP after finishing P2. It was a repeat of last year’s top 2, whereas Charles Leclerc replaced Sergio Perez for the third place.

After the race, Lewis Hamilton shared a photo dump of the US GP on his Instagram. In the post, he was seen talking to 23 Grand Slam winner Serena Williams and his dad about tennis.

We fans enter the conversation midway and hear Anthony ask Lewis, “Is that the max spin?” To this, Lewis replied, “No, no, I was working on the forearm, on the western grip.”

Serena, visibly confused by the term ‘western grip’, said, “I just hold it and go. I’ve never thought about it (the grip).”

Lewis then concluded the discussion by saying, “You’re Serena Williams! You don’t need to know [the western grip]. You’re the best!”

Lewis said after the race, “We really need to be realistic. The Red Bull car has been the fastest car by far all year and it is still the fastest car.”

“It was great to have started third and been in position to fight but on true pace they’ve been ahead of us all weekend. They were on Sunday and they will be the next three races. So, unless something drastic happens to any more of them, then it’s highly unlikely that we will have the true pace to be able to compete with them.”
