The glamor and glitz of the Formula 1 paddock were present at a very prestigious event recently. The renowned American record producer, Pharrell Williams is known for his epic collaborations. After having given the world the gift of ‘Get Lucky’ with Daft Punk, Williams decided to bestow the world with his fashion prowess, too. Making his debut for Louis Vuitton at the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris on Tuesday. But while Lewis Hamilton made a dazzling appearance, Max Verstappen‘s beau, Kelly Piquet gave it the snub.
Piquet did take to her Instagram to apologize later. She wrote, “Sorry to have missed such a historic moment! Congratulations @pharrell and @louisvuitton for putting together such a beautiful spectacle.” Ever since people have been trying to decipher her absence. But as it turns out, Piquet chose to clear the air herself.

The 34-year-old Brazilian model was expected to be at the event. But as we already know, she chose to skip it. That being said, once you realize why, Williams and the rest of the folks waiting on her will surely melt to forgive.

Piquet took to her Instagram account to share a very special moment for her daughter which seems to be the reason for her absence. She captioned the post, “I wouldn’t have missed this for the world. #FirstBalletPresentation.”
But while Williams hasn’t made his comments on the matter yet, Piquet has the approval of the Verstappen clan.
Max Verstappen’s mother approves Piquet’s day off
Kelly Piquet was as proud as a mother can be. To see her daughter shine on her big day was enough for her to beam with joy on social media. Sophie Kumpen, Verstappen’s mother, too, knows a thing or two to be proud of her children.

After Piquet came onto her Instagram account to share the adorable pictures and videos of Penelope, Kumpen quickly picked her phone up to send a few ‘face holding back tears’ emojis to mark the occasion.
