The F1 drivers have a very hectic schedule which burns them out. Look at Daniel Ricciardo, who’s taken a year off from a permanent F1 role. Hence, the drivers tend to make the most out of whatever time they get. Lando Norris seems to have learned a thing or two about being burned out from his former teammate as he was spotted enjoying his life in New York City with Max Verstappen’s best friend. The cherry on top was Jay Z playing in the background. But where exactly in New York is Lando Norris? And who is he with?

With the Canadian GP around the corner, all the drivers and the teams will travel to North America this week. Lando Norris seems to have arrived on the continent a little early and was seen chilling in NYC only a couple of hours away from Montreal. The Briton has been active on social media as he roams the ever-crowded streets in the Big Apple.

Lando Norris recently posted pictures on Instagram of himself trying wakeboarding and now the McLaren driver is back posting stories from the skyscrapers of New York. Do you want to guess which skyscraper it was? You probably guessed it, it is the Empire State Building. Norris posted a selfie of himself with a B&W filter from the top of the Empire State Building as he held the phone high, showing the City that never sleeps beneath him. 

The song “Empire State of Mind” by Jay Z is playing in the story’s background with the lyrics “In New York, concrete jungle where dream are made of” coinciding. The lyrics seem apt as Norris is showing the concrete jungle from the top of the building. The very next story is Martin Garrix’s story shared by Norris, as the Dutch sensation shares a video of the British driver looking down the Empire State Building in awe.

Lando Norris posted 8 images of himself as he tried wakeboarding for the first time. For those who don’t know, wakeboarding is when a person stands or is strapped to a small board and is then pulled by a boat or a jet ski in a large ocean body. So, it’s like surfing but instead of the waves pushing, the jet-ski is used to pull through the water. F1 drivers are adrenaline junkies and any form of adventure sport gives them a dose of adrenaline.

The caption to Lando Norris’ post was “Nothing Better then a day with friends. First time trying wakeboarding 🤙” What caught our eyes was actually Lando Norris wearing a Red Bull life jacket and the Jet Skies also having Red Bull paint scheme painted on them. Nevertheless, looks like the Briton and his friends had a blast.
