Fernando Alonso went into the Monaco GP with the hopes of winning the race. While Alonso couldn’t quite win it, he came very close. Only if Aston Martin made the right strategy call. Now Lando Norris has come out sending a thunderous warning down the F1 grid as he looks forward to replicating past glory. What is this past glory? Will Lando Norris be able to replicate it?

After starting the 2023 season at the back of the Grid, McLaren has made serious ground to contend for points now. Whilst this isn’t the result McLaren wants, the improvement was most welcomed. Lando Norris qualified P3 at the Spanish GP. However, a first-lap contact meant the race was ruined from then onward. With Austria up next, Lando Norris looks forward to his happy hunting ground.

Lando Norris scored his first-ever F1 podium at the Austrian GP back in 2020. The Briton has always performed well around the Red Bull Ring, finishing on the podium again in 2021. Looking to replicate his past glory, Lando Norris advises that this weekend in Austria promises a lot. According to @Junaidsamodien_, Lando Norris said “The Red Bull Ring is one of my favorite circuits. It holds a lot of good memories for me, having scored my first podium there. It’s a Sprint weekend too, which always makes it more interesting. It’s all looking promising, so we’ll get out there and give it our all.”

With Austria being a sprint weekend, anything is possible, as teams will have limited practice time to set up the car. The McLaren TP expanded on the same.

The race in Canada was a mixed bag of emotions for the Papaya team. Lando Norris was given a 5-second penalty, which meant he finished P13. However, the F1 star showed an amazing pace in the race and pulled off some spectacular overtakes. Andrea Stella explains how the Austrian GP is a sprint weekend. The only practice session will be crucial as Stella expects to be competitive from the word go.

According to @Junaidsamodien_ tweet, Andrea Stella said: “With only one practice session, we will look to try and be ready straight away and be competitive at a track in which we had positive results in previous years.”
